IN THE COMPANY OF GREAT DOUBTERS
Wednesday — Job 19:1-7; 38:1-18
Job had some issues with God. He was deep in suffering and had lots of questions about God’s lack of response and perceived lack of compassion. Throughout the book, Job was honest about his doubts and struggles. God answered Job with a description of his power and his care and his might. I’m thankful Job took his questions to the Lord because God’s answer to him has brought reassurance to me—all these centuries later. In chapter 42, Job responds, “My ears had heard of you but now my eyes have seen you.” I long to “see” more of God, so I will continue to take my doubts and my questions straight to him.
