Ecclesiastes 12:9-11
The benefit of knowledge

Solomon sought to share the wisdom he gained through writing and teaching others. He found benefit (when all else was vanity) in helping others understand life. Take a moment to think about the people who taught you. Thank God for those who helped you understand what you know today.

As you end your daily study time, write your own words in the margin of your Bible so family members and friends will always have your words. It may not seem like much, but words left behind can impart wisdom and knowledge on many. For me, every time I write in a Bible, I am thinking about my children, future grandchildren, and future great-grandchildren. The reality is I won’t be around to impart knowledge to all of them, but the words I leave behind might have a chance.
