Thursday
Ecclesiastes 4:9-12

My dad grew up in West Texas. Along with a strong work ethic, he passed on volumes of what can only be described as West Texas logic. One of Dad’s favorite sayings is, “If you see a turtle on a fence post, you know he had help getting there.”

We all need help from time to time. Solomon knew this well. Life, work, and trials are all better when shared. As we stick it out and stick together with our spouse, our family, and other believers, literal and figurative warmth, power, and perseverance will be the result.

Spend time praying the relationships in your life will be strengthened. Do you need to ask for help from a spouse or friend? Do you need to call a friend with whom you haven’t spoken in a while? Need a date night with your spouse or one-on-one time with your child? Don’t miss these opportunities to share life. And in doing so, you’ll find the meaning and purpose God wants to give you.
