Wednesday – Ephesians 5:18
This verse is misunderstood by many believers. The present tense of the verbs in “do not get drunk” and “be filled with the Spirit” affirms the filling of the Spirit is not just a once and done event. The Spirit of God empowers us to meet each and every situation we face.
The contrast between being filled with wine and being filled with the Spirit is obvious. Are we under the influence of the things of this world or the things of God?
