Ecclesiastes 12:12-13

Solomon reminds us of the futility that comes from a life of seeking knowledge. “There is nothing new underneath the sun” and all wisdom originated from a Holy God. In other words, no knowledge acclaimed or given can be proclaimed as original work. The pursuit of knowledge without this mindset is endless and tiring.

Therefore, fear God because the fear of God brings the desire to gain godly wisdom. Godly wisdom leads man to obey God’s commands and guidance. Obeying the commands of God brings humility and the recognition that nothing else lasts for eternity but God.
