Philippians 1:27-28
What did Paul’s imprisonment mean to the Philippians?
Paul was their friend and the one who had led most of them to Christ. In prison, Paul needed them to pray for him. And yes, Paul appreciated the gifts and monetary support they sent him.
More important to Paul, however, was for them to live their lives in such a manner that it brought Jesus glory.
As we honor Jesus in our daily living, it gives us credibility to show and tell others about him. Our lives become like a shining beacon which points others to safety in the midst of a broken world. Through a holy lifestyle, we help bring Christ’s hope to the world. We must share the gospel in both our actions and with our words.
P.S. Remember to SWAP your daily agenda for Christ’s agenda today!
