Thursday
Nehemiah 9:26-31

We don’t like to think of our rebellion or unfaithfulness towards God. It’s something we would rather not recall. But it is there. The Bible reminds us that “all have sinned and fallen short of the glory of God” (Romans 3:23). “All we, like sheep, have gone astray, each of us have turned to our own way” (Isaiah 53:6). The good news is that even in our sin, God remains faithful and loving to us. “But God demonstrates his love for us in that while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us” (Romans 5:8).

Our rebellion toward God may cause us to “wander” in a wilderness of our own making for a while, but he has promised he will never abandon his children—those who have surrendered their life to Jesus (Hebrews 13:5).

Thank God for his love and forgiveness today. If you are questioning your actions, and wondering about your sinfulness or your status before God, please contact the church office. One of the ministers would be happy to visit with you about your spiritual journey. Helping people on their spiritual journey is our joy and privilege.
