Philippians 2:19-20
Paul sends a letter of recommendation to the church regarding Timothy. Paul doesn’t talk about how great Timothy is as a teacher or how hard he works; instead, he says Timothy will show genuine concern for their welfare. The credentials for a pastor and a leader are all over the place. Paul seems to think the most important attribute is how Timothy will care for the people.
