Tuesday
1 John 4:15-17

Loving people is a trait Christians cannot have absent from their lives. In short, these verses say: “The love of God is seen within a Christian’s life because they are living with God. It is through living with God that love for him becomes more perfected with a confidence of eternal salvation.” If you have not figured it out yet, we have God who is omnipresent. In other words, he is always available to dwell with you. A Christian’s love for people is directly tied to how they are dwelling with God.

In considering our efforts to “pursue,” take time to evaluate your life today. What areas are you shutting off to God’s presence? Is “pursue” a Wednesday or Sunday thing? If it is, you might want to consider how you can better dwell in the presence of God and better love others. “Pursue” should bring a change in your understanding of God’s great love. “Pursue” should perfect the love of God more, and God’s presence should become even more evident in your life. Seek this and act, because God longs for you to dwell with him.
