Tuesday
Ephesians 6:4; Proverbs 22:6; Colossians 3:21; Psalm 127:3-5

By God’s design, parents raise children. We bring them into our homes. We teach them our language, how to use the potty, how to pick up their toys, and how to treat others. Then, we launch them into the world when they come of age and they go forth and begin the cycle again.

Reflect back over your study last week. We are to be connected to God in such a way that he provides what we need for life—grace, mercy, love, and wisdom to name a few. Those gifts from him flow through us into our marriages and now into our children. Parenting is challenging and we cannot do it well apart from his power. How are you doing in the parenting department? How are you depending upon God each day? Spend some intentional time with your kid(s) this week. If your kids are grown, reach out through a text, phone call, or letter. Encourage them. If you aren’t a parent, reach out to someone over whom you have influence. Give them some encouragement.
