Tuesday – Matthew 3:13-17
Jesus did not need to be baptized. He experienced it as an example to us. By his baptism, Jesus completely identified with our sin and failure. Though without sin, he would take our sin upon himself on the cross. Look up 2 Corinthians 5:21 for a summary of the Gospel and a clear statement as to what Jesus’ baptism meant.
