Philippians 1:22-24
Paul was in prison in Rome as he wrote this letter. He was awaiting trial where he would either be found innocent and released, or found guilty and be executed. He literally was living day to day. That’s hard for us to understand.
The only thing Paul was certain about was that he could trust Jesus, no matter what the outcome. Paul knew he would either continue to make disciples for Jesus or be welcomed by Jesus into his heavenly home.
