No Matter What . . . A Study of Philippians
Week 1 Devotions written by Dr. Stephen G. Hatfield

Put the following statement in its proper context: Philippians is my favorite book. I believe and trust in all of God’s Word—the Bible. But Philippians is near and dear to me. These four brief chapters tell us all we need to know about God, about salvation, and about how to live the Christian life.

We are going to spend the weeks of summer in this letter Paul wrote to his friends in Philippi, Greece. Stay engaged in this study. The Daily Bible Readings are readily available in printed form or delivered daily to your email address. And when you are away, we go Facebook Live during our 9:30am worship service.

Acts 16:1-8

Paul came to Philippi on his second missionary excursion. Paul met Timothy on this trip and, along with Silas and Luke, they intended to head north to strengthen existing churches and to plant new ones.
