Tuesday – 2 Corinthians 13:5-6

Paul’s relationship with this church mirrors that of the OT prophets with the people of Israel. He has called them to repentance (on more than one occasion) and given them time to get right, and now he’s coming to see them face to face. He instructs them to test themselves to see if they are in the faith. So much of our relationship with Jesus involves the cycle of introspection, repentance, and then growth. Take time to “test yourself” today. Note, the goal of the test is to show the power of Christ in us.
