Philippians 2:1-2
To be effective in reaching and discipling people for Christ, Christians must love each other and be unified in purpose. It’s so important that Jesus told his disciples the night before his arrest: “Love one another. As I have loved you, so you must love one another. By this everyone will know that you are my disciples, if you love one another” (John 13:34-35).
Being unified in purpose is working together for God in obedience and attitude. Jesus is our model. The source of unity is the Holy Spirit. Unity is working together so that “his Kingdom would come on this earth as it is in heaven.”
Pray and ask the Lord to strengthen the unity at First Baptist Lewisville. How can you actively contribute to this unity?
