Wednesday
2 Corinthians 11:16-21

In 11:16-21, Paul tests the Corinthian’s attitude toward foolishness. In calling himself a fool, Paul uses dripping sarcasm. The Corinthian church had allowed themselves to be manipulated by foolish teaching of false apostles. Using showmanship, clever words, heavy-handed leadership, and even physical violence, false apostles held the church hostage. They themselves were the fools.

What about you and me? Are we all too easily impressed by show? Do we allow ourselves to be manipulated with deceptive words we want to hear rather than the truth? In what ways have we allowed ourselves to be railroaded by spiritual bullies?
