Saturday—1 Corinthians 11:23-26
Paul wrote these words to the church at Corinth many years after that night Jesus gave his disciples the Bread and the Cup. He reminds us that the Passover celebration looked back to when God delivered the children of Israel from slavery. When Jesus gave the Bread and the Cup, he changed the meaning. No longer would we look back at God’s deliverance. We now look forward to the Lord’s return every time we take the Bread and the Cup.
