Ecclesiastes 3:9-11

This is the crux of it all. The reason there is futility in what the world has to offer is because God has set eternity in our hearts. Deep in our souls, satisfaction and the feeling of wholeness only come with the eternal, and the only eternal is our God. There is no job, no amount of money, no relationship, no substance, no achievement, no amount of beauty, no friend, and no church…. nothing that will satisfy. Our hearts were set to beat to the rhythm of eternity but were placed in the rhythm of this world. The two don’t match. All will be well one day when we are with Jesus.
