Ecclesiastes 9:11-12
In general, humanity wants to be in control. Men and women seek to schedule their lives and attempt to figure out how the world works. We desire to be successful, but frequently unexpected things happen that alter our plans. The unanticipated can lead to worry. Instead of having joy like we are encouraged to have in 9:7-10, we become anxious and stressed. Remember, in the midst of what seems to be unpredictable, God is ultimately in control and is working all things for his good purposes.
Today, stop worrying and recognize God at work in your life. Attempt to see today’s “interruptions” as opportunities to celebrate God’s sovereignty.
