Ecclesiastes 9:1-3
Solomon wrote there is one destiny for all of humanity and that is death. This reality causes some to feel justified in their sin or evil acts because they are just going to die in the end anyway. According to Romans 6:23, we know that, as a result of sin, all men and all women will die, but through the sacrifice of Jesus Christ, death is not the final destiny for the believer. Trusting in Jesus gives purpose to life as we focus on him and our eternal home instead of the temporary pleasures and evils of the world.
Consider your actions today. Will you act in a way that shows a destiny of death or a destiny of life through Jesus?
