This week, we focus on what are called the 7 Deadly Sins.

Though no single passage records all seven in the order we will consider them, they all appear in Scripture. Mark 7:20-23 expands on the list of seven sins.

The comments made concerning each sin do not appear in Scripture either. Some statements are meant to be “tongue in cheek.” Don’t take them lightly—they do make us stop and think. If you google “seven deadly sins,” you will find much more information.

Monday Lust

What it is
Lust is an inordinate craving for the pleasures of the body.

Why we do it
Do I have to draw you a picture?

Our punishment will be
We will be smothered in fire and brimstone.

For further reading see Matthew 5:27-28.
