Wednesday – 1 Thessalonians 4:13-18
Remember, we do not bury our loved ones. We plant them. When we bury something, we walk away with no thought but loss. But when we plant, we anticipate new life. We think of resurrection. We walk away with hope and expectation.
Verse 16 tells us when Jesus returns, he will do so with a shout. What do you think he will say? Perhaps he will say, “Enough!” Enough sadness, enough cancer, enough tragedy, enough war. We can count on Jesus to say just the right thing.
