Wednesday
Philippians 1:25-26

What does it mean “to live for Christ”? Former International Mission Board missionary Steve Smith wrote a book called Spirit Walk. In it, he proposes that we, as Christ-followers, SWAP our daily agenda for Christ’s agenda:

S — Surrender daily to Jesus’ word and to his will
W — Wait on God in prayer
A — Avoid sin; let God root out all unrighteousness
P — Purse the promptings of the Holy Spirit throughout the day

If we swap our agenda for Christ’s agenda, we are “living for Christ.” As a result, the Holy Spirit is welcome into every part of our life—our thought life, our family life, our work life—nothing is hidden from him. And then the Holy Spirit will guide us to love others and to be Christ’s representative wherever we go (2 Corinthians 5:20).

Try SWAPing your agenda for Christ’s agenda each day throughout the remaining study of Philippians.
