IN THE COMPANY OF GREAT DOUBTERS
Monday — Genesis 12:1-3; 12:10-20; 16:1-6
God called Abram and promised he would make Abram a great nation and bless him in order for him to bless others. God promised to make Abram’s offspring a great nation. When Abram and Sarai didn’t get pregnant by the time they thought they should, they had doubts about God’s plans and promises. As a result of their doubt, they took matters into their own hands and manipulated the situation. Their choices ushered in consequences not only for themselves, but for others. God still delivered on his promises, but there was hurt and brokenness along the path because they took control.
