Monday – John 4:1-30

A Jesus-encounter doesn’t always initially lead us to repentance. Instead, we often resist the living water he offers because we fear being exposed. We are grace averse! However, in his kindness, the sin he exposes in us also reveals a thirst that can only be satisfied by him. Like the woman at the well, we cannot experience the grace of his living water by using broken cisterns that hold no water (see Jeremiah 2:13).
