Monday – 2 Corinthians 12:1-6
Spiritual mountaintop experiences can be powerful but often lead to an addiction to feelings and emotions rather than to God himself. Often, the experiences have to grow in intensity over time and we become less satisfied with the things that impacted us before. Our experiences also place the focus on us—how we feel and what we experienced—rather than the God who created us. Paul wants to focus on his emptiness and weakness rather than his experiences. That, in turn, leads to a focus on God.
