1 John 2:1-2
Jesus speaks to God the Father on my behalf. He lives to intercede for me (Hebrews 7:25). Jesus is my Advocate. Jesus’ perfect life, death, and resurrection are his argument in my defense. God is my Righteous Judge and Atoning Sacrifice. The One who made the law fulfilled it on my behalf: “… the righteous for the unrighteous to bring us to God” (1 Peter 3:18). Does this make you fall to your knees in worship? Like Paul, we can rejoice knowing “if God is for us, who can be against us?” (Romans 8:31).
