Philippians 3:7
Whatever credentials you believe you have pertaining to favor with God, they are not good enough to bring about salvation. In fact, the very things we might consider “gains” can actually hurt us if we substitute them for Christ. Sometimes the “good things” become liabilities when they take our focus off of the truth. In essence, Paul says his trophies of gain were actually relics of loss.
Spend some time identifying your “credentials” before God and ask him to help you keep your focus on him.
