Nehemiah 10:28-29
The 84 names mentioned previously sealed the covenant, but the rest of the people, everyone who had knowledge and understanding, also made the covenant with God. They made this covenant publicly even though the most significant meaning was between the individual and God. It was important other people be a witness to the covenant for the sake of accountability. How are you held accountable for your obedience to God? Who is helping sharpen you on a daily basis?
