Friday
1 Thessalonians 2:19-20
Paul also spoke of the Thessalonians as his “crown.” Two words for crown appear in the New Testament. One word is “diadem” which denotes the royal crown of a king or queen. The other word is “stephanos” which describes the prize given to the victor in a contest or game. This is the word Paul uses here. His reward was knowing the Thessalonians were living the victorious life in Christ.
