2 Timothy 4:1-5
If you ever wanted to see a minister’s “job description,” this passage is about as good of one as you will find.
When I (Brad) was called into ministry as a teenager, I remember my youth minister sharing and discussing this passage with me. I obviously didn’t understand it as well back then as I do now with 35+ years of ministry under my belt, but I remember him reminding me to “be prepared in season and out of season…keep your head in all situations, endure hardship, do the work of an evangelist, discharge all the duties of your ministry.” These words have been helpful in guiding me many times in my life, and they still are. I’m excited about what God is doing here at FBC Lewisville and privileged to be a part of it all.
Now that you know a minister’s job description, stop and pray for our ministry team and other ministers you know. How can you help and/or encourage them today?
