2 Timothy 3:10-15
Is Paul correct? Will all who desire to live a godly life in Christ Jesus be persecuted?
Jesus said, “Blessed are those who have been persecuted for the sake of righteousness, for theirs is the kingdom of heaven. Blessed are you when people insult you and persecute you, and falsely say all kinds of evil against you because of Me. Rejoice and be glad, for your reward in heaven is great; for in the same way they persecuted the prophets who were before you” (Matthew 5:10-12).
Christ-followers in the U.S. have faced relatively little persecution. This is not the case for Christ-followers around his world. Spend time today thanking God for our country. Pray for Christians in other parts of the world who are facing persecution. Pray for our missionaries around the globe who faithfully go to share the love of Christ so that all may hear of the gospel of Jesus.
