Sunday
Mark 16:1-13, 1 Corinthians 15:1-8, 12-24

Upon his resurrection, the substitution was complete. Jesus “was delivered over because of our transgressions, and was raised because of our justification” (Romans 4:25). A dead Savior cannot save anybody. The resurrection of Jesus is even more essential to the gospel message than his sacrificial death on the cross. But all too often, just as we tend to leave Jesus in the manger at Christmas, we leave him on the cross at Easter. The resurrection proves Jesus Christ is who he claimed to be—the very Son of God.

Hallelujah, he has risen from the dead! Jesus is alive!
