GRIEFSHARE begins Jan. 22

Practical help for any adult grieving the death of a loved one or friend.

“GriefShare saved my life!”

A mother from a previous GriefShare semester had lost two sons: one died of suicide, and the other of a massive heart attack due to extensive drug usage. Both had suffered from depression since childhood.

The mother was “absolutely broken” when she began GriefShare at First Baptist Lewisville. She was angry at the world, her sons, and God. In her small group, she stated that she was agnostic and said, “God doesn’t care and He doesn’t exist. How can He allow such things to occur?” She stated multiple times that she did not know how to make it through life. She was afraid.

Our leaders embraced and encouraged her through prayer and God’s Word. During one session, she prayed and gave her life to Christ. She learned the secret of how to move forward in life following the deaths of her loved ones. She stated in our testimony time: “GriefShare saved my life.”

You may not have the same testimony as that participant but may still be grieving the loss of a loved one. We are not experts, but we would love to compassionately walk with you to healing …. ”from mourning to joy.”

Join us Mondays beginning January 22 from 5:45–8pm.
