Acts 2:42

Our readings this week prepare us to worship in receiving the Lord’s Supper this coming Sunday.

The first followers of Jesus devoted themselves to the teaching of the apostles, to fellowship, to the breaking of bread, and to prayer.

Although the phrase “breaking of bread” is used of an ordinary meal (see 2:46), the Lord’s Supper seems to be the meaning here.
