Ecclesiastes 7:15-18

Solomon pauses to offer a warning. He acknowledges that he has seen the righteous man fall and the wicked man prosper. Life is not always fair. (Have you heard that before?) Solomon recommends a balanced approach to living. We are challenged to not be too wise and to avoid foolishness. A healthy fear of the Lord is vital to living a life marked by wisdom.

Do you have an honest fear of God? Do you have a respect for God that is so deep you despise the thought of offending him? This is the beginning of a life defined by wisdom.
