Romans 3:9-20

Humans are kings and queens of comparison, aren’t we? I look around at the choices of others and pat myself on the back thinking, “I’m not as bad as so-and-so.” Some sins have greater consequences than mine or are more readily identified by others. So I fall into the trap of thinking I’m pretty “good.” Scripture is clear: we are all broken and corrupt. No one is good. Not one.

God’s world of wholeness and oneness was now in pieces. The ultimate consequence of it all is death—ultimate separation from our creator. But God didn’t stop when he saw it shatter; once again, he pursued his people.
