1 Thessalonians 4:13-15

The teaching about the return of Jesus had caused another issue. Folks were worried about those believers who had died. When Paul talks about those “who have fallen asleep in Jesus,” that’s a nice way of identifying those who died trusting in Jesus. What will happen to them? Would they share in the glory of Christ’s return?

Not only would they be part of this event, but they would also be raised first. This is the only place in the New Testament where a rapture is clearly mentioned.
