Many people live their lives just like the person holding up the sign on the cover of our Daily Bible Reading booklet. They spend every day “working for salvation.” Is this what the Bible teaches?
Join us over these next weeks as we go verse-by-verse through Paul’s letter to the churches of the area known as Galatians. If our salvation depends upon how much we work for it, then what part does God play in this process?
At work, you strive for that promotion or that pay raise. Naturally, when it comes to our relationship with God, many of us strive and work to secure his love. This does not make it right. Salvation is a free gift from God. No amount of work will place it in our hands.
Over the next weeks, some of us can experience freedom. Perhaps even you.
We offer a Marriage Countdown class for newly engaged couples. But what about those of us who have been married for years? Mark your calendars for May 15-16. We are hosting a marriage retreat here at our church. The cost is reasonable—$50 per couple. It’s for all ages and stages of marriage. You can register online or at the north Information Center.
See you Sunday,
