Hebrews 10:19-25
en·cour·ag·ing, /enˈkərijiNG/, adjective – giving someone support or confidence; supportive
There’s nothing wrong with needing encouragement. Jesus did. His Father encouraged him, saying, “You are my Son, whom I love; with you I am well pleased” (Luke 3:22). An angel encouraged him as he struggled alone one night knowing he would soon be arrested and crucified (Luke 22:43).
We all need encouragement from time to time. Our neighbors need encouragement. Fellow church members and guests need encouragement. Our church leaders— volunteer leaders and staff, even our pastors—need encouragement.
Loving by encouraging can bring energy and joy. It also strengthens the church. Will you do it?
