Ezra 9:10-15
Insanity has been described as doing the same thing over and over again while expecting different results. What drove Ezra to grieve the sins of Israel and cry out to God was seeing God’s people continue to make the same mistakes that initially led them into captivity. God gave them boundaries for their lives and they chose to disobey them. They did not learn from their past and were in danger of seeing history repeat itself. Many times we do the same thing in our own lives. God has given us his Word as a guide to living a life that is pleasing to him; however, many times we ignore his direction and choose to do whatever we think will satisfy us. Where in your life do you need to surrender to God’s will and way?
