Welcome to 2015!
Our First Baptist staff family is excited about another year of serving our Lord, our church and our community. As our daily devotional stated this morning—our greatest commandment is to love the Lord our God with all our heart, soul and mind (Matthew 22:37). What a fantastic resolution for all of us as we journey through this first new week of 2015! Thanks for the privilege that you have given us to lead you and walk with you. We have great days ahead as we serve and walk together.
Take a moment to look over this publication and the many opportunities that are there for you. One of the great initiatives that we are introducing to our entire church family right now is Real Life Discipleship. This powerful plan includes daily devotionals, a weekly sermon series, and small group connections. We challenge and encourage you to dive in with us, to grow as disciples and to make disciples. For our children, we are getting ready for a February event called KIDZONE WORSHIP, as well as a worship retreat (February 27-28). For students, REVO is just around the corner and promises to be a powerful time of spiritual growth. In Music Ministry, choirs kick-off this week and Dinner Theater tickets will be available on January 25. For our entire church family, we will have a special time around the Lord’s Table next Sunday, January 18, to remember what Jesus has done for us.
These are exciting times here at FBCL, and we want you to join us as we grow and love the Lord our God with our heart, soul and mind!
