We are well into Summer 2015. From my point of view, some things are the same and some things are not.
Things that are the same:
It’s hot. We feed children who need a lunch during these weeks of summer. We follow student choirs who journey and serve near and far. We turn our campus into a Vacation Bible School wonderland for five days. And, of course, we gather each and every Sunday to worship, study God’s Word, and encourage one another.
Our church finances get tight during these summer weeks. They shouldn’t, but they do just the same.
Things that are not the same:
It’s not as hot as it should be. It’s not as dry as it should be. The water is high and wide, literally.
We have new leadership for our camps. I ask you to pray for Julie Hammer as she leads our Children’s Camp for the first time. I ask you to pray for Jeremy Taylor and Rob Peterman as they take the reins of Student Camp for the first time as well.
In your life, what things are the same? What things aren’t? Are there any adjustments you need to make in order to move in the direction God would have you go?
See you Sunday,
