John 9, 1 John 1:3-4

Testimonial Evangelism

The easiest way to share the gospel with others is through sharing your own story of what God has done in your life. In John 9, the Pharisees again were looking to put Jesus to the test for healing a blind man on the Sabbath. The Pharisees, in their disbelief, asked the man how he could see, then asked his parents, and then asked the man again. To their frustration, the man answered them again in John 9:25: “He answered, ‘Whether he is a sinner I do not know. One thing I do know, that though I was blind, now I see.’” It is difficult for others to argue when we share what Jesus has done and is actively doing in our lives. Even Jesus gives the instructions to go and tell others what he has done. In Mark 5:19, after healing a man, Jesus instructs him to “Go home to your friends and tell them how much the Lord has done for you, and how he has had mercy on you.” Who will you go and share your story of Christ’s love for you with?
