We will ask our congregation to affirm our Building Committee’s choice of the architectural firm GFF to conduct a study of our space needs. Want to know more about them? Go to gff.com and enjoy the view of GFF.
Mark your calendar for Sunday evening, July 24, at 7pm. We will have a “Peace of Mind Gathering.” We spent some time last fall highlighting mental health issues that affect many of our families. As a result, we have several support groups that currently meet twice a month through summer, and weekly during the school year.
This gathering seeks to keep these important issues before our congregation. We will welcome Colleen Swindoll Thompson as our speaker. If you recognize the Swindoll name, then you know Colleen is the daughter of well-known preacher, Chuck Swindoll. She serves as the director of Reframing Ministries. Colleen offers help, hope, and a good dose of humor through speaking, writing, and counseling those affected by disability and other issues.
And to end the evening, we will have a church-wide ice cream fellowship. We will provide childcare for the gathering, so let us know you are coming. Call the office, email Susan at firstname.lastname@example.org, or register in the atrium when you are here on Sunday.
On another note, pray for camps next week for students and children. Pray for a team of ten who travel to France this Thursday, July 7, through Friday, July 15, to work sports camps in Paris.
See you Sunday,
Stephen G. Hatfield
