Online Giving

“Since you excel in so many ways—in your faith, your gifted speakers,
your knowledge, your enthusiasm, and your love from us—
I want you to excel also in this gracious act of giving.”
—2 Corinthians 8:7 (NLT)

Tithing—giving our first fruits for God’s work on earth—shows our faith in His providence. Giving online is a safe, convenient way to honor the Lord with our tithes and gifts, proving through our regular contributions that we are faithful stewards of all He has provided.

We have many members who enjoy the ease of online paying and giving in the privacy of their homes or offices. If you choose to give online (one-time or recurring) you will be directed to a secure site where you may use your credit or debit card or fill out an e-check (ACH) to give to the general budget or make a debt reduction offering. With our online system, you may create a user profile for return visits and set up and personalize recurring contributions.

From the Online giving form, you can manage your scheduled contributions or view your contribution history.

A word about credit card giving
We offer the opportunity to donate by credit card as a convenience to those who manage their finances in a God-honoring way. While the Bible teaches sacrificial and systematic gifts, it also teaches about the dangers of indebtedness. Please make sure the convenience of giving to God via credit card aligns with Biblical teaching regarding debt (if you would like more information about handling finances God’s way, our church offers individualized financial coaching.)

About online contribution fees
You will receive credit for every dollar you contribute using a credit card. Some have asked how much credit cards cost FBCL. When you use a credit card, the cost to the church is approximately 2.5% in processor fees. If you are interested in reducing the cost to FBCL, you may want to consider making your contribution using an e-check (ACH). E-checks work much like a debit card, as the amount comes directly out of your bank account, but at a greatly reduced processing fee to the church.

All contributions to First Baptist Church Lewisville (FBCL) are recorded in our system and you will receive a contribution statement for the year the following January. For more information, please contact Lynda McBurnett, Financial Services Coordinator at 972.436.5502.

Year-end Giving

As you plan your year-end giving, remember that all 2016 contributions must be received at the church office or postmarked by December 31, 2016. The church office will be open from 9:00 am until noon on Saturday, December 31. Per IRS regulations, any gifts received after this date are counted as 2017 contributions. 2016 contribution statements will be processed and mailed by January 31.

If you use online giving on this website, remember that recurring giving ends 12/31 each year and must be revised for giving in the coming year. Go to Online Giving, sign in and go to My Profile, My Payments, and Manage Recurring Payments to update your information.
