The Jews are like a cultivated olive tree (11:24).
The Gentiles are like wild olive branches (11:17).
The Church is like a cultivated olive tree with branches grafted onto it (11:17-18).
God’s redemptive plan was never just about the “olive tree” cultivated thousands of years ago through the Jews alone. Instead, he had in mind a beautiful tree consisting of different cultures, languages, and skin colors.
