Anyone else feel unqualified at this point? Leading kids spiritually is daunting. And plus, I’m too busy to rearrange life so I can spiritually disciple my kid. The good news, however, is that we don’t have to. This verse says we are to disciple kids as we go about life. It’s been said the SUV is the family altar of today. Many times the spiritual conversations that shape faith happen as we are on our way somewhere else. The more we can view discipling our kids as being integrated into all other facets of life, the better. The stuff of real life is a gift from God that fuels discipleship, not a distraction from discipleship. Take time to pray that the Lord would show you opportunities today to disciple your child. Ask God to help you integrate discipling your children into the mess of real life.
