We gather to take Bread and Cup this Sunday, October 16, in our weekend services. There are some myths surrounding this observance. We will discuss any misunderstandings as we obey God’s command to take these elements and remember what Christ has done.
Keep in mind some dates just around the corner—
Sunday, October 30—Harvest Day. We need to put our church on a firm financial footing to move into the final weeks of 2016. We are encouraged to bring an extra offering. For some, this may be a commitment to give for the first time. And this should be a reminder to give regularly and generously.
Sunday, October 30—First Family Fun Fest. This annual event draws hundreds to our campus. Come and join with our community with this outdoor party. It includes Trunk-or-Treat for the kids, a petting zoo, and a car show. What’s the timeframe? 5-7pm.
Sunday, November 6—We focus on the “persecuted church” around the world. Millions of believers live under religious persecution and discrimination. We welcome Archbishop Benjamin Kwashi from Nigeria in our weekend services.
These are certainly not the only emphases happening within our congregation, but they are opportunities that deserve our attention.
See you Sunday,
