I Commit to Family

Matthew 18:1-6

Many times, children bring us back to the things that really matter. Such was the case when the disciples asked Jesus who would be the greatest in his kingdom. In response, Jesus called a child to come to him. Jesus said the greatest in his kingdom would be humble like this child—not jockeying for position. In fact, it was as if Jesus was saying, “Forget being the greatest! You won’t even SEE the kingdom unless you change.” Jesus said we are to come to faith in Christ with the faith of a child. Our maturing faith shouldn’t be childish, but unassuming and humble. In what ways has my faith in God become old and lost its childlike wonder? How do I need to humble myself like a child before the Lord?
